It’s not often a Scottish film sneaks by me but this one did, starring the wonderful actress Sheila Hancock and Kevin Guthrie from Sunshine on Leith, as well as Paul Brannigan from Angels share, this is a cracking wee film shot in The Highlands. It’s a beautiful, heartfelt film and as you would expect from any film set in The Highlands the scenery is stunning.

Hibernian v Celtic

Back to league business and a dress rehearsal for the League Cup Semi final that will be played on the weekend 2/3 of November.

Well with it being an away match and on BT Sports 2, you will be glad to know there will be no shortage of streams. It's a 12.30 kick off but  check your stream early to find the one that suits you best, I would recommend you tuning in at 11.30 for Scottish Football Extra, then it's the live build up from Easter Road from 12 noon.

These streams are permanent for BT Sports 2, but at times they will go down, you will have no shortage of options to find one that works.

I'm always trying to find ways for the streams to work better and discovered there is less hassle with pop ups and redirects opening the Cricfree streams as they are set out below, Cric always give a good stream, if one goes down one of the others will work.

Ustream always have a good stream, it works a wee bit different from other sites, when you reach the site click play, it opens in another tab, click play again on the new tab and close the first one down. I know some folk don't like the wee sscreens on most sites, Ustream deliver a big screen, no need to hit enlarge with this baby. Mobile users it will ask you to allow notifications, click block, then play, it will redirect away, hit your back button before it loads the new page and the stream plays well.

Not my favourite site, sometimes the ad covers the whole screen and I haven't worked out how to close it, if this happens choose one of the other streams till you get one that works for you. Mobile users "click" on a stream number, then play, then as it redirects away the back button will play.
Freestreams

There are always a few streams available, desktop users you will get other tabs opening, just close them, avoid the stream that offers HD it asks for registration and I would advise not to sign up for any sites like this. Using a mobile it will redirect a couple of time and also a box will appear in German click Storieren, it means cancel, never click OK on any site unless you know where it leads you.

Ohooz offers three streams, they just send you round in circles, the one that opens works well stick with it. On mobile, as usual click play then back, it took a few seconds to bed in but works well.

Cricfree different from the Cricfree BTSports streams this opens in a nice big screen not unlike the Ustream one. A couple of redirects but a good solid link. Doesn't work on mobiles.

Celtic v Kilmarnock

Celtic welcome Kilmarnock to Glasgow today and we are looking to make it 6 wins out of six. The match is not being broadcast in the UK so I will be looking to pick up streams bounced back here from Celtic TV abroad. We will all be hoping that the recent problem with Celtic using DRM, that's Digital Rights Management, and blocking streams, is behind us.  Streams are prospective and we won't know what streams work until nearer kick off 12.30 onwards, I will be updating if and when they go live.

Rennes v Celtic

Well it's not where we hoped we would be, but it is what it is and we have to make the most of it. There will be no shortage of streams, the match being on BT Sports 3 and Ultimate, which is a new one on me! Streams at the top are for BT Sports 3.

Hamilton Academical v Celtic

It's back to the domestic programme this weekend and a visit to New Douglas Park. The plastic pitch that got so much criticism last season has gone and a new one takes its place, but the players will still be wary of it and we should expect a tough game.

The Art of Racing in the Rain

I've not posted a film for a while, and just finished mopping up my tears after watching this cracking tale of a dog and his life. Enzo is, as almost all dog films are a tear jerker, the film opens with our dog hero lying in a pool of his own urine as he is unable to get up, old age and illness getting the better of him. Kevin Costner voices the canine lead in this as we go back to look at Enzo's life with his owner, Denny a mechanic and aspiring Racing driver. Scotland v Russia

It's a crucial match for Scotland and managers Steve Clarke is correct in saying that it's about time we took a major scalp, we have done it in the past with victories against France and Spain, and some superb performances that we got little for after a bit of bad luck, the match against England being one, with Leigh Griffiths sublime free kicks, good luck Scotland.

The match is on Sky Sports Football the top links are permanent for the broadcaster. Each link has been tested and is working as of 1pm Friday.
