Over 20 years ago, a "white trash" girl made it to the top of the figure skating world, hindered by a hard upbringing, her mother was physically and psychologically abusive to her as she grew up, they say that sometimes people can't break away from the cycle of abuse and this was true of Harding, who married a violent man, yet she still managed to show her talent on the ice rink, she was the first the first woman to complete a triple axel in short competition, the first to execute two triple axels in a single competition and the first to ever complete a triple axel combination toe loop, but her world fell apart after being banned for life when her husband and her bodyguard were involved in injuring her closest rival, Nancy Kerrigan, although she herself was not involved in the incident, she was convicted of hindering the investigation. They say life can be stranger than fiction, this film was put together based on inteviews with Harding, it's a very funny but tragic black comedy and thoroughly enjoyable. It's not been released over here as yet, as far as I can make out. The film  was nominated for three Golden Globes so could be in line for Oscar nominations too, I really rate the film and give it  9/10, it has a cracking soundtrack as well.

Best Streaming sites for Football.

There are a few sites that are great for watching the games for free HesGoal is probably the best if you are on Android, it does buffer a bit depending on the popularity of the game but there are no pop ups to deal with VipLeague and VipBox are great for content, you get pop ups but if on your Desktop or Laptop , they are easy dealt with. If you are using an Android device there is a knack to watching these sites, after "clicking" on the link for the game the sites will try and direct you to another page, press the back button as soon as it does so, if you are too slow you will have to go back to the beginning and try again, the same can be said about the other streaming sites, USAGoals, FirstRow,  Mamahd and Steamhunter are all decent sites. A down to earth comedy that explores grief and regrets, Laurence Fishbourne, Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston are three ex marines meeting up 30 years after their Vietnam posting, good interaction between the three and enough laughs to stop it getting morbid, it doesn't set the heather on fire but a good 7/10.

Tonight's film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a black comedy, if you like The Coen Brother films, I'm sure you'll enjoy this. It has quite a dark subject matter, concerning the rape and murder of the leads daughter, Mildred Hayes who, frustrated with the lack of progress in the case rents three abandoned billboards  near her home, which in sequence read: "Raped while dying", "And still no arrests?", and "How come, Chief Willoughby?"

Talking of Coen Brother films the the film stars Frances McDormand who won an Oscar for Fargo, and Woody Harrelson who appeared in another of their films, No Country for Old Men, Sam Rockwell also appeas in the film, which received six 2017 Golden Globes nominations, so expect it to be among the nominations for Oscars too. 

It's a good film, well worth 115 minutes of anyone's time. It's not due in the cinemas here until next week, so see ithere first!
