Tonight's film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a black comedy, if you like The Coen Brother films, I'm sure you'll enjoy this. It has quite a dark subject matter, concerning the rape and murder of the leads daughter, Mildred Hayes who, frustrated with the lack of progress in the case rents three abandoned billboards near her home, which in sequence read: "Raped while dying", "And still no arrests?", and "How come, Chief Willoughby?"
Talking of Coen Brother films the the film stars Frances McDormand who won an Oscar for Fargo, and Woody Harrelson who appeared in another of their films, No Country for Old Men, Sam Rockwell also appeas in the film, which received six 2017 Golden Globes nominations, so expect it to be among the nominations for Oscars too.
It's a good film, well worth 115 minutes of anyone's time. It's not due in the cinemas here until next week, so see ithere first!
